Types of Poems (Curious Robot Style)

Here are some types of poems I made up. Some of them are official, but most of them came from my brain. Enjoy and keep poem-ing!

1. Lantern Poem (Curious Robot Style)

A noun
Two adjectives to describe the 1st line
An "-ing/-ed" phrase to describe 1st and 5th line
Two adjectives to describe the 5th line
A noun that is opposite of the 1st line

Example:

Light
Burning, illuminating
Created on the first day
Shading, hiding
Darkness

2. Classic Back and Forth

Last word rhymes with last word of 3rd line
Last word rhymes with last word of 4th line
Last word rhymes with last word of 1st line
Last word rhymes with last word of 2nd line

Example:

I moped down to the store
To get one tiny egg
What a bore!
I didn't want to go; I did beg!


3. Three Line Rhyme

Anything
Last word rhymes with last word of 3rd line
Last word rhymes with last word of 2nd line

OR

Last word rhymes with last word of 3rd line
Anything
Last word rhymes with last word of 1st line

Example:

Its not like I don't enjoy bees
It's just that the fly swatter I bring
When they sting


4. Back and Forth Paragraphs

Last word rhymes with last word of "3rd" line
Last word rhymes with last word of "4th" line

Last word rhymes with last word of "1rd" line
Last word rhymes with last word of "2th" line

Example:

Running away from the chore
Which comes from the mouth of mom

Looking for an exit door
But disobeying will set off a bomb
