Enjoying the peaceful
Sabbath rest
The snow is melting
The sun is coming
Warming up
Shining out
Dad is snoring
Mom is cooking
Sister is singing
I am reading
Sun is heating
The woods we walk in
Lighting the path
Lighting the way
Quiet and peaceful
Sabbath day
Spending our time
With the Creator

Writing Wednesday: A Wall of Separation
Dark is the outside night
While cozy in a blanket tight
With some cocoa from the cook
I'm armed with chair, lamp and book
The fire is pumping friendly heat
While I read of people I couldn't meet
A winter storm whirls beyond the door
"Have some soup, there's plenty more!"
We feel safe inside our homes
From the outside cold which roams
But a few moments of Mother Nature's grit
And the boundary could be quickly split
Perhaps, (indeed, for sure) we should remember
Those without homes this raw December.
